I waited patiently for the Lord to help me, and he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair…He set my feet on solid ground…He has given me a new song to sing…” (Psalm 40:1-3, NLT).
Have you ever felt like you were in a pit of despair? Just like God lifted David out, God is going to lift you out. Where you are right now is not where you’re going to stay. There are brighter days up ahead for you filled with favor, promotion, and increase. As you walk uprightly before Him, no good thing will He withhold from you.
Notice that God gives us a new song. We have to do our part to sing that song. That means you don’t go around talking about your problems, how bad things are, or how you’re never going to make it. No, you have a song of victory! If somebody asks you how you’re doing, your attitude should be, “I’m too blessed to be stressed! I’m moving forward in strength and power.”
Remember, praise precedes the victory, and the Bible tells us that God is enthroned on our praises. As you magnify and lift Him up, He will lift you up out of your despair. He’ll set your feet on solid ground, and you’ll move forward in joy and victory in every area of your life.

What have I learned of love?
Love does not need to be found, it surrounds us. It is everywhere, in everyone, in every moment; people just don’t look closely enough. Love is no where near blind. Infatuation is blind. I think most people get these two mixed up quite frequently. Love is noticing everything about someone, seeing every imperfection, memorizing their expressions, realizing that everyone has flaws, but choosing them anyway. Love should never be an accident. It should be a conscious decision to step off that cliff and pray to God that you’re caught. There should be no hesitation, no second guessing, just a full on commitment. Lukewarm love is not love at all. To love with everything you have, that is bravery in its truest form. Love never ends. Once you’ve taken that leap, you can’t decide you want to turn around and go back. You never stop loving someone, no matter how hard you might try. They will always be a part of you, even if you don’t speak to them for 50 years and have found happiness with someone else.
How well have I learned to love?I have always been one of those silly girls that wear their hearts on their sleeve. However, I have only truly loved one person (in a romantic way, that is). I think everything I’ve said above pretty much describes the way I love. I choose to see the beauty and the goodness in everyone, and try to love them for that.. I never hold back from, even though I know that it might mean getting my heart stomped on. I see no reason to be afraid of love. I don’t know if this is a good way to look at things or not. It is just my opinion on things and the way I choose to live. Key word there: choose. It is my choice to love with all that I have, because I believe that love is the only thing that really matters.

spiritualinspiration:

Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your bed and walk.” (John 5:8)
It’s time to get up! It’s time to stop living life on the ground, it’s time to wipe the gravel off your face, and go after your God given destiny. I don’t have to tell you that life is hard, I don’t have to tell you that life will knock you down, but I will tell you that we serve a God that is bigger than any problems we face, we serve a God that will give us the strength we need to overcome the struggles of life.
In this story Jesus came to a man who had been in the same position for years and had given up on life. Jesus asked him a simple question “Do you want to get well?” We have to make a decision. We have to get up and say “enough is enough, I’m better than this, I am a Child of God, I am more than a conqueror, and It’s time for me to get up and fight with every fiber of my being!” When you have this attitude not only will you overcome your difficulties, but God will open up new doors, show you his favor, and bring your dreams to pass. Pick up your bed and Walk!!

EVERY WORD IS RELEVANT
